Principals and superintendent report on school activities, recruitment and safety drills

Elementary Principal D. Eich told the board about Milledgeville Elementary activities including Missile Mentor Monday, special education training related to a district handbook, completion of third-quarter report cards, and Dr. Seuss Day supported by the Milledgeville Men’s Club and PTO. He also noted upcoming state and local assessments and strong participation in junior high athletics and track.
Mr. Eich and JH/HS Principal T. Jakse reported attending the NIU Education Job Fair in DeKalb to recruit candidates for open positions, that staff used SIP time to revisit AI instructional planning to improve MAP score achievement, and that choir and band students participated in the NUIC Music Festival in Pearl City. Superintendent T. Schurman reported that winter sports have concluded and that safe school review and school safety drills are complete.
