JH/HS Principal T. Jakse and Elementary Principal D. Eich updated the board on recent student activities and professional development. Jakse reported a remote learning day for grades 6–12 on Jan. 23 using Microsoft Teams, a Signing Day ceremony on Feb. 4 for seniors Brinley Hackbarth (softball) and Bryson Wiersema (baseball), and the start of the Missile Meat Sale fundraiser on Feb. 6 to support student experiences. He also described a staff Fermilab field trip as successful.
Principal D. Eich described initiatives supporting student resiliency and instruction, including Missile Mentor Monday to build resilience and promote learning from mistakes, participation in cyclical monitoring training to strengthen special education and IEP practices, and K–5 teachers’ professional learning at Fermilab to expand inquiry‑based science instruction.
