Board passes election order, designates state liaisons and adopts several proclamations
Summary

- Resolutions recognizing National Foster Care Month (26‑25), Pride Month (26‑26), and Juneteenth (26‑27) were introduced and passed by roll call with trustees voting aye; trustee remarks emphasized community support for foster youth and LGBTQ+ students.
- The board adopted an SOS for Student Achievement resolution (26‑28) urging a coherent state plan and a package of assembly bills to close achievement gaps and create a measurement dashboard; the board will send the resolution to the California School Board Association.
- The board approved a resolution opposing expansion of immigration detention facilities in the region and reaffirming safe access to public education for immigrant students (26‑29).
