The Central CUSD 4 board voted Nov. 17 to purchase and install a new cafeteria oven for Central High and Nash Middle School from Glade Plumbing for $12,250 (installation included). Member Able made the motion; Member Shule seconded and the roll call vote was unanimous among members present (B. Koch absent).
Separately, the board accepted a snow-removal services bid from Prairie Bros Construction (motion by Member Shule, second Member Shule-Whybrew). Earlier in the meeting the Buildings and Grounds Committee reported that Arc Architectural firm presented virtually and emphasized prioritizing roof and wall upgrades and improvements to the Central High School entrance for safety and security. The committee recommended accepting the Glade Plumbing oven bid for immediate cafeteria needs while longer-term facility upgrades are considered.
