Principal Neaveill briefed the board on elementary activities and programs. Report cards were sent Oct. 17; the leadership committee convenes monthly; the district completed a library grant in the amount of $850.00. Neaveill also noted that flu shots were provided Oct. 2, PreK and Kindergarten students needed physicals and immunizations by Oct. 15, and vision and hearing screenings took place Oct. 18–19.
Neaveill summarized family engagement and school events: parent-teacher conferences were held Oct. 2 and Oct. 8, a Scholastic Book Fair ran Sept. 22–26, school pictures occurred Oct. 15, fall classroom parties were scheduled for Oct. 24, and a "Lights Out" party was held Oct. 29. The elementary continues to collect registration and other fees as recorded in the minutes.
