The Village of Cerro Gordo Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of Trustee Jeff Powers during its Jan. 19 meeting. Trustee N. Hyde moved to approve the resignation and Trustee Walsh seconded; roll call recorded 6 Ayes and 0 Nays and the resignation was accepted.
The board did not discuss reasons for the resignation during the open meeting. The clerk and attorney will process steps required by village ordinance to fill the vacancy; Clerk Kelley Morrison is responsible for documenting the resignation in the official record.
The board adjourned at 6:38 p.m. and recorded the acceptance of the resignation in the minutes.
