At its June 16 meeting the board approved a liquor license for Casey's and approved a license for American Legion Post #117 subject to conditions. The minutes record: "MOTION to approve the Liquor License for Casey’s was made by Trustee Powers, seconded by Trustee Anderson. Roll Call: All Ayes." For the American Legion license the minutes state the approval was "pending proof of insurance and correction of commander on page 3." Trustee Powers moved both actions and Trustee Anderson and Trustee Walsh appear as seconders in the sequence recorded in the minutes.
The board moved into and out of liquor commission for these matters (motion and timing recorded in the minutes). The conditional nature of the American Legion Post #117 approval means the license will not be finalized until the village receives proof of insurance and the corrected commander information noted in the application paperwork.
