The Long Lake Town Board on May 28 approved Resolution 32 (2025), adding a $50,000 expenditure appropriation to the 2025 General Fund and increasing appropriated fund balance by the same amount to fund Phase 1 of mountain bike trail construction at 646 Deerland Road.
The resolution directs the Director of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism to proceed with a Request for Proposal (RFP) to find a contractor to design and build the trail. The RFP as presented requires proposals to be submitted to the Town Clerk by June 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM. The Board approved publishing public notice of the RFP and instructed the Town Clerk’s Office to manage notice and proposal submission.
Councilman Nathan S. Hosley moved the resolution; Councilman Mark A. Bird seconded, and the Board voted unanimously to adopt the measure. The Board also required a certified copy of the RFP be retained in Town records.
