Cerro Gordo board approves new music teacher, coaches and staff appointments

Bebar moved, Miller seconded and the board voted unanimously to hire Jordan Andrews as the district's Elementary Music and Jr./Sr. High Choir teacher. Later, Curran moved and Greenwood seconded approval of additional hires: Ethan Parker as head high school baseball coach, Danny Durbin as head junior high softball coach, Angie Corum as substitute head cheer coach, Tracey Clark as BAS Supervisor and PM Recess Supervisor, and Camden Kruse as evening custodian. The motion carried on a unanimous roll call.
The personnel actions follow the board's return from executive session at 7:34 p.m., where personnel and student matters were discussed under statutory exceptions. These hiring approvals were recorded in the meeting minutes and are effective per the board's motion.
