Principal Neaveill told the board that Kindergarten back-to-school was held Aug. 12 and that PTO volunteers supported the event; she also reported new-teacher orientation Aug. 7, thanked custodial staff for summer work, noted new window coverings at the elementary building, and presented new-year enrollment numbers.
Principal Willard reported enrollment and fall-sport participation numbers, including plans to return golf as a fall sport, and described vendor partnerships with Growing Strong, Army and Kirby to work with students. Superintendent Weidner said five new teachers joined the district, teachers will participate in AI training with Holly Kelly on Aug. 29, special-education and preschool staff will receive Crisis Prevention Intervention training, and a health, life and safety report was presented by BLDD. He also reported that a video board and shot clocks have been installed in the high-school gym.
