Highway Commissioner Bob Nystrom told the Chemung Township board on Feb. 19 that crews completed five days of snow plowing and salting and that the department has received 100 tons of salt. He said inmates assisted with cleaning equipment and the shop, and crews trimmed trees on Weidner and Hebron roads.
Nystrom also reported staff attended a training noted in the minutes as the "Juile Class" and that Truck #3 is experiencing problems with its strobe lights. The minutes do not provide additional details about the training name or the extent of the truck repairs.
