The City of Lake Stevens Planning Commission formally swore in a new member early in the meeting. A city council representative administered the oath virtually on behalf of Mayor Hilt and pronounced Tony Massey officially sworn in.
"Congratulations, Tony. You are official," the city representative said after the oath. Massey introduced himself to the commission, saying he has lived in Lake Stevens for six years and joined Rotary as part of his effort to become more involved: "I've been living in Lake Stevens for 6 years... I've just really been wanting to get more and more in part of the community." The commission offered welcomes and brief orientation remarks following his introduction.
