Board reorganizes committees, seeks fence bids and schedules trustee training dates

At its Aug. 19 meeting the SCURRY-ROSSER ISD board reorganized committee memberships, authorized taking bids for a fence project, and set possible dates for "Team of Eight" training.
James Whittington moved to reorganize committee rosters: Safety Committee to include James Moeller and Michael Wagner; Facility Committee to include Drew Sloan, Bobby Bridges and James Moeller; and to reappoint Nancy Duggan to the D.O.I. Committee. Drew Sloan seconded the motion and the minutes record the vote as unanimous (7-0).
The board also authorized taking bids for a fence behind the post office to the high school (motion by Whittington, second by Duggan), and President Moeller moved — with Whittington seconding — to set Sept. 4, Sept. 11 or Sept. 18 as dates for Team of Eight training; both motions were recorded as carried unanimous (7-0).
Steve Stolusky gave a maintenance report about completed and in-progress projects, and the principals provided campus updates; the minutes do not record details beyond noting that updates were provided.
