The SCURRY-ROSSER ISD Board of Trustees approved the consent agenda and several vendor contracts during a special meeting on Aug. 19, 2024.
According to the minutes, Nancy Duggan moved to approve the consent agenda and James Whittington seconded; the motion carried unanimous (7-0). The board then approved a Kaufman County 4H and Youth Development Program adjunct resolution and SRISD FFA approved shows, each on motions carried unanimously.
On procurement, the board approved a diesel/gas bid awarded to Borders/Long and accepted a bid from Pinnacle Propane, LLC. The minutes record Whittington as the mover on the fuel and propane motions; both motions were seconded and recorded as carried unanimous (7-0).
The board also approved a property-casualty insurance proposal from Texas Political, with Phillip Burley making the motion and Bobby Bridges seconding; the motion carried unanimous (7-0). The meeting minutes record that President James Moeller called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Board members present at the meeting were Bobby Bridges, Michael Wagner, Nancy Duggan, Drew Sloan, James Moeller, James Whittington and Phillip Burley; administrators in attendance included Interim Superintendent Wes Rhoten and Assistant Superintendent Cindy Wiedemann.
The board took these votes as routine business items included in the meeting packet; no dissenting votes were recorded.
