Trustee Nancy Belt moved the second and final reading of ORDINANCE 2025-08, "AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 26-48, TO CHAPTER 26 OF ARTICLE II, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE VILLAGE OF CHERRY VALLEY, ILLINOIS TO PROVIDE FOR THE ISSUING OF PERMITS FOR SEASONAL OUTDOOR SALES IN THE VILLAGE." Administrator Jim Claeyssen and Attorney Roxanne Sosnowski discussed adding specific days and hours. Trustee Sally Hollembeak moved to amend subsection b to add times of 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Thursday to Sunday; Trustee Nancy Belt seconded. The amendment passed on a 6-0 roll call, and the board then approved the amended ordinance 6-0.
The ordinance creates a permit framework for seasonal outdoor sales in the village code; the board specifically limited operating days and hours in the amendment recorded at the meeting.
