At the June 8 Committee of the Whole meeting, staff reviewed several administrative and planning items. Mr. Halpin described the Illinois Consolidated District Plan (CDP) as a unified application process for federal grants under ESSA. Mr. Heidbreder reviewed the Crisis Management Plan and emphasized preparedness, training and community partnerships to maintain a safe learning environment. He also shared proposed dates for the FY27 Regular Board meeting schedule.
Mr. Heidbreder asked the board to approve an updated job description for Darcy Biedscheid to reflect expanded responsibilities; the presentation described her role in managing district data and federal/state reporting. Later the board moved into closed session: "Motion by Mr. Rampenthal, seconded by Mr. French to go into Closed Session at 7:10 p.m. to discuss personnel matters." The motion passed with five ayes and two members absent. The board returned to open session at 7:55 p.m. and adjourned at 7:56 p.m. on a voice vote recorded as "5 Ayes, 0 Nays, 2 Absent."
