The council approved two engineering agreements: a design and survey agreement for the 2nd Avenue rehabilitation (agreement amount $237,300) and a full-service engineering agreement for a block of 9th Street (engineering fee $65,400). Staff said the 2nd Avenue rehabilitation has a preliminary construction estimate around $3,100,000; $1,300,000 of the project would be funded by a federal grant that requires DOT bidding and compliance.
For 9th Street the staff described a full-service contract that covers survey, design, bidding, construction administration and inspection with a total project estimate near $500,000. Council approved both agreements by roll call and staff said construction administration and inspection work would come back under future contracts.
