The Common Council on Dec. 4 authorized an additional $6,528 for upgrades and expenses required to meet insurance compliance standards for a previously approved 12‑ton Kenworth truck, increasing the total purchase price to $223,809. Alderman Kirchberger moved the increase and Alderman Fogle seconded; the measure passed unanimously (Ayes 6).
The council approved two related budget amendments specifying funding sources: one amendment uses ARPA Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (account H212.5110.52420 with an interfund transfer from A.1900.54055) and a second resolution authorizes the additional expense to be covered through CHIPS funds under account H082.5112.52450. Both amendments were adopted without recorded opposition.
