The City of Lockport Common Council on Dec. 4 adopted City of Lockport Local Law No. 1 of 2024 to amend the Schedule of Sewer Rents and Other Charges, effective Jan. 1, 2025. The council approved a $17.30 monthly service charge for domestic and industrial users plus a commodity charge of $2.65 per 100 cubic feet of water billed; the adoption passed unanimously (Ayes 6).
The local law also specifies industrial surcharges for excess discharges, sets an annual waste‑hauler disposal permit at $415.93 and a permit charge for POTW significant industrial users at $449.19, and lists laboratory analysis fees (for example, BOD5 at $47.75 and total suspended solids at $35.83). Alderman Devine moved the measure and Alderman Fogle seconded; individual roll call showed Kirchberger, Craig, Mullane, Devine, Fogle and Lupo voting yes. The ordinance updates the meter fee schedule and several user‑specific charges that will take effect January 2025.
