Council reviews quote to pave gravel section on East Honey Creek Drive

"This is for obviously, up on East Honey Creek Drive...there's a portion that's in the city limits now that actually has gravel road," a staff member said while circulating the quote and asking council whether to proceed this fiscal year or wait until the next budget cycle.
Council members recommended soliciting at least one more bid, and staff said the city maintains a small-street projects fund (about $50,000 set aside in a prior year) that could be used for the work. Staff also agreed to check contractor schedules and return with a second bid and timing for construction.
No formal bid award occurred during the committee meeting; staff will return with additional bids and a recommended funding source for council action.
