Counsel reiterates stance on Corkscrew Road ownership; Village of Estero hires engineering study

District counsel Tony Pires told the Board that, after reviewing documents, his opinion on ownership of Corkscrew Road west of U.S. 41 "has not changed." Mr. Schultz reported that the Village of Estero has engaged Johnson Engineering to inspect streets and walkways to determine needed repairs. PSGRC President Neil Collins gave an update on Town Hall meeting discussions focused on the intersection of U.S. 41 and the east side of Corkscrew Road; Mr. Wilhems confirmed the study would include the west side as well.
Mr. Pires and Mr. Krebs provided an overview of County and Village positions regarding ownership and maintenance responsibilities based on reviewing past memoranda and documents. Mr. Pires also said he would forward Apple Signs contact information to Mrs. Adams for follow-up.
