The City Council approved Ordinance #2026-05 to allow a drive-through service window at the Panda Express development at 601 West 14th Street. Alderman Renee Smith moved the ordinance, Alderman Wanda Rodgers seconded, and the measure carried by unanimous vote of members present.
Corporation Counsel T.J. Somer said the proposal had been reviewed by the Joint Zoning Board of Appeals and Plan Commission, which “unanimously approved the special use permit, and approval by City Council was now being sought.” The council voted to adopt the ordinance following the board’s recommendation.
