Council approves subdivision for Buddy Bear Car Wash at 132 W. Joe Orr Road

The City Council approved Ordinance #2026-03 to allow a plat of subdivision for the commercial property at 132 West Joe Orr Road, the site of the proposed Buddy Bear Car Wash. Alderman George Brassea moved the measure and Alderman Vincent Zaranti seconded; the ordinance passed unanimously among members present.
“The subdivision would give clarity to which parcels would be conveyed to the business, and which parcels would remain in the City's ownership,” Corporation Counsel T.J. Somer said, describing a prior sale of one of six acres. The council took the action so the company can complete the planned conveyance and the City can retain remaining parcels for other uses.
