River Ridge board appoints Keith Merrill to fill vacant seat; Oath administered

The River Ridge Community Development District on Oct. 22 appointed Keith Merrill to fill the unexpired Seat 1, a term that runs through November 2026. Bob Schultz, the board chair, nominated Merrill and the motion carried "with all in favor." Mrs. Adams, a state notary, then administered the Oath of Office.
Mr. Schultz said Mr. Merrill "has contributed a great deal to the community in his numerous HOA Board positions in which the issues faced were very similar to those addressed by the CDD." Staff and counsel reviewed required ethics training, Form 1 filing, the Sunshine Law and the Form 8B memorandum of voting conflict for local public officers; Mrs. Adams told the board that the Oath administration is a state requirement and that board members must pay $10 when filing.
