Contractor reports lakes in good condition; service frequency increased for rainy season

Representatives from Premier Lakes told the River Ridge board on Aug. 27 that the community’s lakes and preserves are in good condition and that several maintenance items are underway.
Bill Kurth reported: "The lakes appear to be in very good shape. The preserves and dry retention area work is underway; there is a lot of growth during this time of year." He said crews removed fallen trees from the Florida Power & Light ditch and outfall structure ahead of an impending tropical storm and that repairs to the Lake H1-B nano-bubbler — which lost prime after being turned off — will be completed the following day. Kurth also said Premier changed service frequency from quarterly to monthly during the rainy season to increase maintenance responsiveness.
Operations Manager Shane Willis and Premier Lakes’ Alex Kurth will present proposals for electrical work related to moving a compressor in the Masters Lake; the board noted that proposals for the electrical portion of that project will be forthcoming. The transcript does not record contract approval or dollar amounts for these services during the meeting.
