Chief of Staff Karen Zerante described the City of Chicago Heights’ updated Code Red emergency-notification system and asked aldermen to help spread the word to residents. Zerante said the system will be used for emergency notifications and community announcements and encouraged public re-registration so residents are familiar with new features.
“COS Zerante requested the aldermen share the information with residents, and recommended persons re-register in the program so as to familiarize themselves with all the new features in the program,” Zerante said. The council took no separate vote on the briefing; the item was presented as an informational report during the meeting.
