The council received a beach and park update detailing preparations for the season, removal of recycle toters at beach stops, and plans for new stickers and planters.
Brian Cassidy explained crews will leave two garbage cans at the beach stops and remove recycling toters after reports that people were dumping garbage into recycling containers. Cassidy showed sample stickers that will mark each garbage can with the Beach Stop number so the village can track them if they are removed. The minutes note that inmates will assist with cleanup at the end of April and that planters will be placed at beach stops during the first week of May; volunteers have adopted nearly all stops, with only Stop 37 remaining open for adoption.
