The Robertson County Commission adopted its fiscal 2024–25 appropriations ordinance and set the property tax levy at $1.80 per $100 of assessed value on Aug. 19. The breakdown the commission recorded was 97¢ to the general fund, 2¢ to solid waste, 59¢ to schools and 22¢ to debt service — the same total levy as the prior year, the budget chair said.
The budget resolution (081924069) passed on roll call with 21 yes votes and 3 members absent. During discussion one commissioner praised the budget committee’s work but suggested considering a small tax increase — "I think it would be good stewards to look at least a penny" — as a hedge against inflation. Commissioners did not change the proposed levy during the meeting.
Chair and commissioners thanked the budget committee and county staff for work on the spending plan. The recorded roll call and vote totals were entered into the minutes.
