During the Oct. 27 meeting, the board recognized Career Center students for leadership (Evan Cox — Construction; Dylan Doris — Cybersecurity; Madyson Jarvis — Multimedia; Kaden LaFine — Law Enforcement; Anna Lemenager — Cosmetology; Brady Shule — Welding; Mya Tholen — Engineering & Design). The board also recognized Jeannette Snejberg of Chebanse Elementary for outstanding service.
Administrators reported that the Ashkum Early Literacy Center completed safety drills and reached 100% parent-teacher conference attendance; Chebanse held a Meteor Shower celebration with pumpkin catapults and a dance party. Nash student Jillian Meister qualified for the IESA Cross Country State Finals, and the Nash Student Council participated in an IAJHSC Day of Service. Marc Shaner congratulated the Newsies cast and noted CHS will host a first-round football playoff game Nov. 1 against Knoxville.
