The Board of Aldermen entered executive session Nov. 4 to discuss a personnel matter in the police department involving the position of dispatcher. During the closed session, a motion by Alderman Mason Herrin, seconded by Alderman Kyle Martin, authorized City Attorney Bobby Lingold to send a letter from the Mayor and Board informing Michael C. Rayborn he will no longer be allowed on the grounds of City Hall and/or Florence Police Department property. The motion was carried with Aldermen John Banks and Brian Grantham recorded as absent and Herrin, Martin and Sistrunk recorded as voting aye.
The board returned to the regular meeting at 6:55 p.m. and adjourned the Nov. 4 meeting at 6:55 p.m. The minutes record the directive to the city attorney but do not record further details of the personnel matter.
