Florence approves Main Street asphalt patch and pays for capped water line work
Summary
The board approved a $5,000 6" asphalt patch on Main Street from A J Construction and authorized a $1,730 additional charge for locating and capping a 4" line at Main & Church (invoice #25-2510). Motions were unanimous.
The Florence board approved two street-related expenditures at its Nov. 4 meeting. On recommendation of Street Director David Myers, the board accepted the low bid from A J Construction, Inc. for a 6" asphalt patch on Main Street at $5,000 (Pavepro quoted $6,500).
Separately, the board approved an additional payment of $1,730 for invoice #25-2510 (Oct. 7, 2025) to cover labor and equipment to locate and cap a 4" line at the intersection of Main Street and Church Street. Both motions carried by unanimous vote.
