Planning Commission targets mid-fall for Master Plan; tree ordinance changes proposed

Julie Bonello, working with the Planning Commission and a Master Planning Task Force, said the goal is to complete the Master Plan by mid-fall and thanked residents for participating in the survey. The task force listed beaches and infrastructure as its top priorities and plans an open workshop on July 26.
Separately, Nancy Thill presented proposed changes to the tree ordinance, the most significant being a recommendation that contractors — rather than homeowners — apply for tree permits. Thill also announced an Arbor Day celebration on July 10 at the entrance to the butterfly garden and noted that Poison Hemlock is returning in the butterfly garden area.
