Council: water project progresses, new pump installed and drywell bids include paving

Council member Mike Mumper said the Village is moving forward with the water project and that a new, stronger pump has been installed. He said the Village is pressing contractor Merritt to get started and that the plan is to issue one bid package covering both water projects.
Public Works Superintendent Rick Reitz said proposals in the public works report include two more drywells and confirmed that paving for the drywells was planned for the fall. The Council discussed timing and coordination between water and public-works contracts but took no new contractual action during the meeting.
