Mike Botelho nominated Tim McCarthy to be Council President; Brian Cassidy seconded the nomination and the council "unanimously approved 5-0," according to the meeting record. In a separate motion, Tim McCarthy moved to nominate Brian Cassidy as President Pro Tem; the motion, seconded by Mike Mumper, also passed 5–0.
