County begins recruitment for interim County Engineer; board reminded of Aug. 4 budget work session

County Coordinator Kelly Thongvivong said she has contacted two candidates for an interim County Engineer and will begin digital advertising for the permanent position July 23. Chairman Kevin Stevens reminded the board of a budget work session on Aug. 4 and Public Works Director Nick Klisch is coordinating the Highway budget with the Auditor/Treasurer.
County Coordinator Kelly Thongvivong told the board July 22 that she had contacted two people about serving as an interim County Engineer and was awaiting responses. Thongvivong said digital advertising for the permanent County Engineer position will begin on July 23.
Public Works Director Nick Klisch told commissioners that Dodge, Steele, Ottertail and Jackson counties currently have open County Engineer positions. Chairman Kevin Stevens also reminded the board of an August 4 budget work session and noted Klisch is working with the Auditor/Treasurer on the Highway budget.
