County Coordinator Kelly Thongvivong presented personnel items and the board voted to move Paul Jones and Dalton Riordan to permanent full-time Heavy Equipment Operator status effective July 7, 2025, following successful probation. The board also accepted the resignation of part-time jailer/dispatcher Lacy Freitag effective July 2, 2025, with appropriate payout of benefits.
Administratively, the board amended the Procurement Policy after the 30‑day comment period and voted to increase monthly rental rates by 5% effective Jan. 1, 2026, for several county leases (DVHHS Human Services, DVHHS Public Health, 10th Street Offices (SWCD), and United Community Action (Transit)). The board approved a Letter of Support for Rebuilding Together Minnesota's USDA Housing Preservation Grant application, adopted a Joint Powers Agreement guaranteeing payment of general obligation bonds for counties served by Red Rock Rural Water System, and approved July warrants totaling $111,927.14 across county funds.
