Jacob Gross, Realty Specialist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and Jon Beyer, Project Leader for the Windom Wetland Management District, briefed the board on a habitat easement on property owned by David Wells in section 18 of Lakeside Township. The easement would protect wildlife habitat and requires county certification to proceed with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service acquisition.
Following the presentation, the board unanimously authorized the Board Chair to sign the Certification of the County Board of Commissioners regarding the Grant of Easement for Wildlife Habitat Protection on the David Wells property so the federal acquisition may proceed. The item was recorded as approved by motion.
