Park, beach and events updates: planters, repairs, Music in the Park attendance

Brian Cassidy and Public Works Superintendent Rick Reitz reported maintenance and event updates for the parks and beaches. Cassidy thanked families for planting flowers in beach planters and asked residents to water them as needed; he said a hard‑to‑find part delayed full repairs at Stop 41 but showers were working and landings at Stops 41.5 and 40 were repaired.
Reitz said the park received fresh mulch, the basketball court and parking areas were sealed and painted, and seasonal employee Cole has returned to oversee parks and beaches; Cole will check kayak racks to ensure watercraft display the required new stickers. Council member Mike Mumper reported roughly 100 attendees at the first Music in the Park and said courts will be closed during village events.
Cassidy also suggested exploring phone‑satellite service to improve coverage in the beach area; no procurement or budget action was recorded at the meeting.
