Public Works Director Nick Klisch said the Public Works Superintendent’s pickup is typically replaced every three years and that the Assistant County Engineer’s vehicle has good trade-in value. The Board approved purchasing one truck funded by the Road & Bridge Department and the other funded by the Recycling Department, and to sell or trade the older vehicles.
Why it matters: fleet replacement affects department budgets and uptime for road maintenance and landfill/state-aid work. The purchases were funded from departmental budgets and approved by unanimous vote.
