The Southwest Independent School District Board of Trustees convened a special meeting Aug. 27 at 4:31 p.m. at the district Central Office, Building No. 800, 11914 Dragon Lane. Board President Sylvester Vasquez Jr. called the meeting to order; trustees Florinda Bernal, Daniel Carrillo, Jose Diaz, James Gonzalez, James Sullivan and Ida Sudolcan were recorded as present.
Roger Campos led the Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge. The minutes record that no citizens had signed up to address the board during the public-comment portion of the agenda. After a closed-session review of a Level Three parent grievance, the board reconvened at 5:45 p.m., announced no motion had been made on the grievance and adjourned at 5:46 p.m.
The board’s minutes list no other business and offer no schedule for follow-up actions related to the grievance.
