The Southwest Independent School District Board of Trustees met in a public hearing on Aug. 27, 2024, to review the district's proposed 2024'25 budget and a proposed effective tax rate. Board President Sylvester Vasquez Jr. called the hearing to order at 5:48 p.m. at the district's Central Office on Dragon Lane; trustees Florinda Bernal, Daniel Carrillo, Jose Diaz, James Gonzalez, James Sullivan and Ida Sudolcan were listed as present.
