Bainbridge Mills Phase 1 homeowner urges county maintenance for consistent drainage care

At the county's Aug. 3 preliminary hearing, Stacy L. Larson, who identified herself as a homeowner and trustee on the Bainbridge Mills homeowner association committee, testified in favor of the drainage petition on behalf of Phase 1 residents.
"We've been maintaining for 26 plus years ... and we would like to propose in in favor of this petition so that we feel like under this maintenance program, it would benefit the homeowners individually," Larson said, adding that Phase 2 already participates in the county maintenance program. Larson told the board she was not aware of damages at present but reported she has a drain on her property and expressed concern about individual out-of-pocket repair costs.
Her testimony was referenced by commissioners in the discussion before the board voted to proceed to survey and design. The board recorded affirmative votes on Resolution 26-559 and directed county engineering staff to perform the detailed inspection and prepare plans and assessments for a final hearing.
