The Village Board approved Ordinance 25‑2‑2309 on Feb. 24 to permit a tattoo parlor at 305 Granada Boulevard after the Plan Commission recommended the special use permit following a Feb. 19 public hearing.
Staff told the Board the applicant plans to staff the business with up to six artists and operate by appointment only, which staff said would not create a parking burden for neighboring businesses. The file also notes the business has a clean compliance record with the Lake County Health Department and that no new signage will be installed.
Trustee Dawn Suchy moved to approve the ordinance and Trustee Patty Chybowski seconded; the motion passed by roll call with Trustees Dickson, Chybowski, Suchy, Rosten and Grace voting aye.
