Board approves consent use of Sourcewell cooperative contract and authorizes continued negotiations on Highland Fleet items

Staff explained the original plan had been to use a Sourcewell cooperative contract on the consent agenda but recommended moving to a different procurement method after discussion with the district attorney; staff clarified the Sourcewell option remains available and that some Highland Fleet work (including potential Malibu chargers) could be procured via the Sourcewell agreement. Adam Blau of Highland Fleet was invited to summarize the procurement path and confirmed the company’s availability under Sourcewell. The board approved the consent item to use Sourcewell for the specific consent piece and adopted a resolution to continue negotiations and set public hearings to finalize site and contract details at a future meeting.
