North Town trustees say downtown park is nearly complete, expect finish within weeks

Chair opened the work session by circulating the contractors' bid plan and walking trustees through remaining items in the downtown park design, including a stage, an electronic kiosk, EV charging and new landscaping. "This is the bid plan," the Chair said, asking trustees to review placement of the stage and preserved trees.

Staff reported the project is nearing completion: "The park should be done in the next week, you guys," a staff member said, and trustees discussed finishing inspections and minor retrofits after construction sign-off. Trustees emphasized accessible routes and electrical conduit that will support lighting and temporary event power. The board also scheduled follow-up items for cost estimates and a potential agenda item in August to finalize any remaining change orders.
