Conservation Director Ross Geerdes told the board that the Conservation Foundation approved transfer of the Lansing Riverfront parcel at 14 N Front St to the county and that the Conservation Board had accepted the transfer.
The board approved accepting the transfer by motion (26.267 Byrnes/Second Keatley). Ross Geerdes said former owner Lee McGovern requested the parcel be used for the public interest and provided a sum of money for future maintenance. Geerdes noted annual taxes are paid through March 2027; once transferred to county ownership the parcel would become tax-exempt.
