The Lisle Community Unit School District 202 Board on July 22 approved an amended classroom lease with the School Association for Special Education in DuPage (SASED) for the 2025–2026 school year that adds one classroom at Schiesher Elementary and raises the district’s rent revenue from $150,000 to $173,000.
The lease, included in the Board packet, lists seven classrooms and one office space at Schiesher Elementary as part of the amended agreement and specifies that the rent includes utilities and services. The amended lease states the $173,000 is payable in one lump sum on or before Jan. 1, 2026.
Under the lease, the district remains the lessor and SASED the lessee; the document describes responsibilities for insurance, maintenance, and the lessee’s access to common facilities. It also states that the Lessee will provide general liability coverage naming the district as an additional insured. The amendment was included as part of the consent agenda and approved by the board during the recorded 7‑0 consent vote.
Board materials note that SASED requested an additional classroom to accommodate program needs. The district’s background materials list the prior annual rent of $150,000 and show the $23,000 charge for the added classroom that produces the revised total.
The lease includes standard provisions for term (Aug. 11, 2025–Aug. 10, 2026), renewal notice deadlines, and requirements for returning premises in good condition at lease end. The board packet places the amended lease among other ACTION items for the fiscal year and references coordination of services between SASED staff and district programs.
