Deputy Clerk Margie Schuld presented the Highway Commissioner's update to trustees, reporting routine winter maintenance and several equipment repairs. "We go out and salt and plow the roads when needed," Schuld said, and she recorded replacement of plow lights on Truck #3, installation of a starter on Truck #1 and replaced brakes on Truck #7. She also said crews continue to organize the shop and took inventory of equipment and supplies.
Schuld told trustees that on Dec. 28 the highway crew put up barricades at Rt. 14 and Oak Grove Rd and at Rt. 14 and Hebron Rd at the county's request because IDOT could not do it at that time. Highway Commissioner Bob Nystrom was listed as absent and the update was presented on his behalf by the deputy clerk.
