Supervisor seeks coordinated charity aid; Lawrence Cemetery survey bids differ sharply

Supervisor Sam Finfrock reported to the board on Jan. 15 that township staff are working to coordinate local churches and charitable groups to streamline resident assistance. Describing a half-hour meeting with Anne Maloy of St Vincent DePaul, Finfrock said he wants to "get the churches who participate in getting the money so we can group up and not double up our efforts in helping," adding, "We want to help as much as we can, but we are going to save people from going to 4 or 5 different places hopefully."
Finfrock also notified trustees that the township received two bids to survey Lawrence Cemetery: a new quote of $12,040 and a prior quote of $875. He listed other routine items in his monthly report, including a pipeline seminar and recycling company information that were circulated to trustees.
