Maywood SD 89 board approves consent agenda, tables two policies
Summary
Trustees approved a broad consent agenda including personnel transactions, bills, IDOT hazardous routes, intergovernmental agreements and multiple policies, while tabling two staff-related policies for later review.
The board approved the amended Consent Agenda (items A-J) by a vote of 4–0. The items included approval of past meeting minutes, multiple personnel items (appointments, resignations, leaves, transfers, retirements, non-renewals), bills and payroll, IDOT hazardous routes, renewal of an intergovernmental agreement with Veterans Park District, West40 and Threat Assessment Team approvals, and designation of authorized signers for district accounts and student activity funds.
As part of the motion the board removed two policies from immediate approval: Policy 2:260 (Uniform Grievance Procedure) and Policy 5:122 (Dress Expectations for Staff). Those two policies were tabled for later consideration. The motion to approve the amended consent agenda was made by Cervone and seconded by Scott and passed with four ayes and three members absent.
